I started writing in 1995 after the death of my father. I wrote letters to the editor of the Los Angeles Daily News. Eventually, I asked and was given the opportunity to write guest op-ed pieces.
When that ended, I decided to write and self-publish a romance novel that took place during the Vietnam War between a wounded Special Forces Officer and the Navy nurse that took care of him. It was entitled, “Unglorious War.”
I revised it in 2024 under the name “Unglorious War-Revised Edition” and it is currently available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Smashwords, and wherever books are sold.
In 2018, I took writing classes at Los Angeles Valley College and Los Angeles Pierce College.
I have had thirty-three short stories published, three poems, in addition to one self-published book, and two books published by two different publishers in England.
They are “Unglorious War Revised Edition”, “The Professionals 16 – Meeting the Men of CI5” by Confessions Press, and the book which will be out August 31, 2025 entitled “Miller and Kelby, Major Case Squad Files, A Collection of Short Stories” by Chapeltown Books. The Miller and Kelby stories are primarily murder mysteries.
I have two A.A. degrees from Los Angeles Valley College, one in Natural Science and one in Liberal Arts. I hope to continue my education and obtain an A.A. degree in English.
